Chorley's Angels are flying higher than ever after securing a grant from Jigsaw Homes North's Jigsaw Foundation. The grant was awarded for seven new Lifepak CR2 defibrillators which will replace the existing Lifepak CR+ defibrillators which we currently use. Jigsaw Homes and the Jigsaw Foundation have always supported Chorley's Angels from the outset. It was they in the form of Chorley Community Housing who donated us our first aid kits when we initially formed. Indeed, they followed that up with grants for a new Gazebo and training equipment. The Foundation has also assisted us as we move into our next phase of improving our offer to the local community. We recently moved from our original Analogue radios to the much more efficient digital versions. These have a greater distance and battery life. The new defibrillators are the next step. We celebrate our 10th Anniversary next year and as we move forward upgrades to equipment are a necessity. The new defibrillators are much faster from the stage of analysing the patient to the shock stage. This upgrade in equipment is important in our mission to ensure that members of the community are safe at events locally. This is why Chorley's Angels were formed and will always remain as the core of everything that we do. Thank you once again to the Jigsaw Foundation for their continued support!
